During the monsoon season, the forests of Tehatta become green and various species of butterflies appear. Loxura atymnus, the yamfly is a species of lycaenid or blue butterfly. The species are found in Asia (Indomalayan realm). Loxura atymnus is famous for consuming nectar (sugar-rich liquid produced by plants) secreted from the extrafloral nectaries stimulated by ants.
