Seven suspects receive speed trial for violence against police

DEN HAAG - On Monday seven suspects have been taken to court on charges of using violence against police and damaging property during the riots in the Schilderswijk at the start of July. The riots followed the death of man in police custody after a violent arrest. Racial tensions and joblesness in the Schilderswijk quarter are said to contribute to the use of violence by youths.
