Tourism In Greece - Stavros Beach In Crete Island

Tourism in Greece - Stavros Beach, located in Akrotiri near Chania. The beach became widely popular in the 70s as it featured scenes from the film Zorba the Greek with Anthony Quinn. People enjoy the shadow of the umbrella and sunbed of a beach bar but also others lay down their towel and relax during their holidays. The beach is forming a little natural harbor at the foot steps of the very steep mountain Vardies, where the rocks submerge in the crystal clean transparent turquoise exotic Mediterranean water of the beach. Tourists enjoy swimming in the water of the Aegean Sea, the sunbathing under the sun and relaxing. Greece is trying to boost its tourism and give privileges to vaccinated against Covid-19 Coronavirus pandemic, international tourists and locals, as the country is heavily depended from the travel and tourism industry despite the concerning raising number of cases with the Covid-19 Coronavirus Delta mutation variant.
