A photo taken in Tehatta, West Bengal; India on 26 July 2021 show a Indian lily moth (Polytela gloriosae). It is a moth of the family Noctuidae. The Lily caterpillar early instars feed on chlorophyll of the leaves; later instars feed voraciously leaving only the hard stem of the plant and next completely devastating it. Its incidence is high in the months July, August and September. Lily caterpillars are eating Pink rain lily (Zephyranthes rosea) flower plants. (Photo by Soumyabrata Roy/NurPhoto)
