Design concept Rembrandt statue in Leiden

LEIDEN - A concept for a statue of the 17th century painter Rembrandt van Rijn is presented on Wednesday July 15, 2015. The concept has been created by Jeroen Spijker how at the moment is the state sculptor laureate. Mister Spijker is also the first sculptor to make a bust of current King Willem Alexander. With this concept local entrepreneurs hope to inspire initiatives towards tourism and highlight the city’s close connection to the legendary painter. (Photo by Jaap Arriens/NurPhoto)
