Puttabong (Tukvar) Tea Factory In Darjeeling, India
Worker sorts dried and roasted tea leaves at the Puttabong (Tukvar) tea factory in Darjeeling, India, on May 31, 2010. Planted in 1852, this is the first tea estate in the history of Darjeeling Tea Plantation. The tea estate stretches from an altitude of 1500 feet to 6500 feet above MSL. The tea garden is one of the biggest estates in Darjeeling comprising of five divisions located at a stretch of approximately 20 km. from Darjeeling City to Sikkim state border.
