Fire In The Difesa Grande Forest In Gravina In Puglia
Charred trees due to the forest fire Difesa Grande in flames for several days in Gravina in Puglia on 2 August 2021. The fire that hit the Difesa Grande forest in Gravina in Puglia for more than five days shows no sign of going out. There are always numerous outbreaks which, aided by the wind and the great heat that is hitting the area, continue to feed, destroying hectares and hectares of vegetation. The flames that reached the Refuge refreshment area also passed the asphalt strip of the main road that cuts through the wood, to expand into Bianchini, Lama Cold, Campanale, Marassano areas. There is also apprehension for some houses that are on the edge of the areas affected by the fire, with the men of the Arif, the Fire Brigade, the Forestry, the Local Police and the Civil Protection ready to intervene to avoid the worst for the residents (Photo by Davide Pischettola/NurPhoto)
