The brand new Boeing 737-8-200 MAX has the registration 9H-VUF belongs to Malta Air, a low cost airline, subsidiary of Ryanair in a joint venture with the Government of Malta. The airplane type 737 MAX was grounded due to two fatal accidents and problem with the MCAS system from March 2019 to November 2020. The aviation industry is affected by the Covid-19 Coronavirus pandemic and during the summer tourism season tries to bounce back in normal levels.
