Prices of almonds, walnuts, apricots from Afghanistan had doubled and tripled over the past few days, said a trader from in a wholesale market in Kolkata, India on August 21, 2021.The Taliban has stopped all imports and exports with India, said Dr Ajay Sahai, Director General (DG) of Federation of Indian Export Organisation (FIEO). According to reports, the Taliban has stopped the movement of cargo through the transit routes of Pakistan. The FIEO has expressed concern about dry fruit prices going through the roof in days to come due to the turmoil in Afghanistan.
