Life Of A Craftsman In Pandemic

Pachugopal Roy showing a beautifully crafted violin in his workshop in Kolkata, India, on August 24, 2021. Born in the year 1945 and started his career in his early life as a child. He is a specialist in making violin, viola, cello, double bass. He supplies the instruments all over India only to Musical Institutions. He started his own workshop from the year 1979. Panchu Gopal Roy's workshop is completely traditional and runs manually. 1960-61 he met Music Legendry Ustad Baba Allauddin Khan in Kolkata. He came in contact with many famous musicians of India through this profession. Pandemic had casted a shadow on him as he was unable to meet and interact with the clients physically.
