Flash Floods Hit Rogo Village, Central Sulawesi

A man walks in front of his house which was covered in mud after being hit by a flash flood in Rogo Village, South Dolo District, Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi Province, Indonesia on August 30, 2021. The flash flood that occurred on Sunday, August 29, 2021 night and brought mud, sand, stones and materials. the pieces of wood piled dozens of houses. There were no casualties in the incident, but more than 200 residents were evacuated and fled to safer places. Previously in September 2020, flash floods also occurred in this village. But this time, the damage was quite large. The local Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has warned of potential disasters due to extreme weather.
