India Sikkm Religion
A 90 year-old Lepcha Bomthing (Lepcha priest) wearing a feathered hat chants prayers and uses leaves to bless a village girl during an animal sacrifice ceremony to appease evil spirits in a small village deep in the jungle in Sikkim, India, on June 05, 2010. Many villagers have died without any aliments so the Lepcha villages have sent for the Bomthing to get rid of the evil spirits causing deaths in the village. This ceremony is said to protect the village for 180 years after it is preformed. (Photo by Creative Touch Imaging Ltd./NurPhoto)
