Aftermath Of Flash Flood In Central Sulawesi

Residents are in front of their houses which were buried in mud and sand after another flash flood occurred in Rogo Village, South Dolo District, Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi Province, Indonesia on September 6, 2021. After being hit by flash floods on Saturday (August 29, 2021) then , the village was hit by another flash flood on Sunday (September 5, 2021) night which resulted in dozens of houses being submerged in mud and hundreds of residents returning to safe places. The flash flood that occurred in the village was the fourth time since November 2020. The topography of the area at the foot of a mountain with damaged forests makes it a disaster-prone area, especially during the rainy season. (Photo by Basri Marzuki/NurPhoto)
