Horse Cart Racing in the Old Town of Voorschoten

VOORSCHOTEN (The Netherlands) on 28th July 2015 - During the yearly horsemarket horse cart racing takes place on a makeshift course in the centre of town. Sand is layed on top of asphalt and competitors race two against each other down the street at speeds of up to 60 km per hour. Spectators can also place bets on riders.
