Teachers On Strike Protest For More Means For Education
A woman holds a cardboard reading 'minus 3 teachers: where egality for our pupils ?' Teachers on strike protested in Toulouse as other cities in France against the lack of means, the classrooms with too much pupils (up to 41), a wages increase and more people to take care of children with handicap or severe difficulties. The Macron's government has announced an increase for 2022 to catch with teachers wages in European Union. But the government says now it was an error and that the increase is planned for 2024. Four teachers unions, CGT, SUD, FSU and FO called for the strike. Youths leaders joined teachers as they said they have the same problems. They demand a pluriannual plan for Ministry of Education.
