Daily Life In Windsor
The historic Old Sandwich Towne Hall building in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Sandwich Towne was first settled in 1749 as a French agricultural settlement, making it the oldest continually inhabited settlement in Canada west of Montreal. Many buildings and houses date to the mid-19th century. This neighbourhood was also the site of one of the major battles during the War of 1812, and the Windsor Rebellion of 1837, and as a battlefront of the Patriot War later in 1837.
