Singapore Zoo Welcomes Two Young Rothschild’s Giraffes

A pair of young Rothschild’s giraffes walk in the enclosure at the Singapore Zoo on September 30, 2021 in Singapore. The young duo from India's Mysuru Zoo makes a public debut today following a nine day land and sea journey from India and serving three months quarantine in Singapore. With fewer than 2,000 of the subspecies left in the wild, the Wildlife Reserves Singapore is helping to protect this subspecies by caring for the duo alongside the Singapore Zoo’s bachelor herd.
