A 'Sit-In' Camp On The Alberta Legislature Grounds
Johnny Lee of Driftpile First Nation, seen inside a 'sit-in' camp that consists of five teepees, a dozen tents and a sacred fire, set in the Alberta Legislative Grounds. About 50 people have been in the camp that began in early October. Their aim is to raise awareness of issues facing First Nations communities in Alberta and Canada, including the claim of territory, and the issue of unmarked graves of indigenous children.
