Day Of The Dead In Mexico
A group of people enter the cemetery of Pomuch, an indigenous Mayan community located in the state of Campeche, to dig up the remains of their deceased from the crypts or wooden boxes in order to clean them for the Day of the Dead in Mexico, which will take place on 1 and 2 November. This ritual, called Choo Ba'ak in Mayan, takes place days before the Day of the Dead festivity, which shows the syncretism between pre-Hispanic and Spanish traditions.
