Chick Bird Hatcheries Provide Employment in Kashmir
SRINAGAR- INDIAN ADMINISTERED KASHMIR-INDIA -AUGUST 03: Kashmir government employees work inside a chick bird hatchery on August 03, 2015 in Srinagar, the summer capital of Indian administered Kashmir, India. A government run chicken hatchery in Kashmir produces about two million birds annually, the programme was initiated to introduce the improved breeds and also to meet the growing demand of eggs and table birds, realizing the progress and potential, the programme was later extended to generate the employment through establishment of commercial poultry farms, according to officials , hundreds of small and medium scale farms have emerged all over the valley providing both direct and indirect employment opportunities to a large chunk of people.
