New York Governor Hochul Tours Second Avenue Phase 2 Subway Tunnel Project
New York Governor Kathy Hochul along with MTA leadership and elected officials tour the Second Avenue tunnel project on the East Side of Manhattan on November 23, 2021 in New York City, USA. The construction of the Second Avenue subway extension will resume after work stopped nearly fifty years ago due to the lack of funding . The several billion dollar project will entail the reconstruction of the existing station, building a new station, and the renovation of portions of the line. It is estimated that the project will be completed in approximately six to eight years. (Photo by John Lamparski/NurPhoto)
