Animal India
A wild Golden Jackal (Canis aureus) is spotted in a weak and exhausted semi-conscious state in a forest at Tehatta, West Bengal, India on 28/11/2021. Golden jackals, which are found in South Asia, Southeast and Southwest Asia and Southwest Europe, are unfortunate victims of hunting and wildlife trafficking, while often falling prey to man-animal conflict and highway accidents. They are protected under Schedule II of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972. (Photo by Soumyabrata Roy/NurPhoto)
