Ontario Reports Highest COVID-19 Case Count In Nearly Six Months

Ontario reported its highest COVID-19 daily case count in nearly six months with 964 new cases and one additional death. The Ministry of Health says 498 of Sunday's cases are among unvaccinated people, 21 are people with one COVID-19 vaccine dose, 396 are fully vaccinated and 49 are in people with unknown vaccination status. This comes as countries around the world are on high alert due to the emergence of the new more contagious Omicron COVID-19 variant that originated in South Africa begins to spread across the globe.
