The authorities installed some fence between building to protect pedestrian from thrown items/rock by each side of the street between both of communities. Some soldiers stay in position 24/24h in a watchtower. Palestinian people live near to the settlement, are not allowed to use, to sit on their roof or to repair their house. In photo: The main religious building of the city is divided between Jews and Muslim.: on side there is Ibrahimi Mosque and the other side there is Ma’arat Hamachpela, the tomb of Patriachs. For both Jews and Muslims, the site is the second in importance only to Jerusalem’s Al Haram ash-Sharif/Temple Mount. This building is overprotected. Some checkpoints are installed with different entrances according the religion. Soldiers are in position all around the place with guns. Cars are forbidden near the site. Some cars patrol constantly around the road to secure the place. (Photo by Michaud Gael/NurPhoto)
