Innovative Bark Products In Central Sulawesi
Imran, a small business actor prepares various products made from bark in Sidera Village, Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi Province, Indonesia on November 29, 2021. Products made from bark that have been used by indigenous people in the local area have begun to be abandoned and shifted to to synthetic products. Imran makes innovations by designing various products from bark such as bags, shoes, shirts, backpacks to watches. The innovation is carried out so that the preservation of local cultural values ??in the region can be maintained. These innovative products are currently not mass-produced to avoid clearing the forest where the wood is sourced. (Photo by Basri Marzuki/NurPhoto)
