Refugees in Belgrade
In Belgrade, an average of 70 buses arrive and depart daily with hundreds of refugees. In the streets thousands of families and young people are lying in the parks, in tents, under the parkings , in the bus station, sleeping rough. Expecting a contact that allows them to continue their odyssey to a better life and safer in any country of the European Union while many of those who criticize the situation take advantage of them and take out all the money they can. There are voluntary and anonymous individuals who populate the parks and around the station to deliver goods necessities to the most vulnerable people. Belgrade became a place of passage, a pit stop in the middle of the odyssey that people spend getting through walls and barriers that stand in the way. (Photo by Jose Antonio Sanchez/NurPhoto)
