Court Clerks, Lawyers And Magistrates On Strike United For More Means For The Justice System

A magistrate holds a sheet reading 'Sick justice'. All justice' unions from court clerks to magistrates and lawyers (SAF, USM, SM, syndicat des Greffiers, etc.) called for a strike and a gathering inside the Courthouse of Toulouse as elsewhere in France to protest mainly against the lack of means to do a good job. Magistrates, lawyers and cout clerks denounce a loss of sense for their jobs as they ask 'How good justice could be done when you are judging for more than 10 hours ?' Magistrates recognize that justice is too slow but, just in Toulouse, the justice system lacks 19 court clerks. It was the first time since years that the two magistracy unions (SM and USM) called for a strike together. The Justice Minister, Eric Dupont-Moretti, said that the Macron's government did better then other government for the French justice system but protesters disagree. Toulouse. France.
