Canadian Sikhs Protest Against The Indian Government

February 01, 2015 --- Mississauga, Ontario, Canada --- Canadian Pro-Khalistan Sikhs protesting against the Indian government and calling for a separate Sikh state as well as showing their disapproval for the Indian army's presence in Indian-controlled Kashmir. A large group of Sikhs assembled outside a venue where celebrations for India's 66th Republic Day were taking place to show their discontent with the Indian government. The Khalistan movement seeks to create a separate Sikh state, called Khalistan in the Punjab region of India and has been a controversial topic. As well the issue of Kashmir has long been a hot-button issue for many Indians, many of whom feel strongly that their government should work towards resolving the issue. --- (Photo by Creative Touch Imaging Ltd./NurPhoto)
