Crackdown On Stand News In Hong Kong
Hong Kong journalists camp outside the offices of Stand News waiting to grab pictures of staff leaving. Stand News decided to stop operations and lay off all its staff today, after the police froze 60 millon HKD in assets and arrested several of its editors or directors. Although he was not arrested, Ronson Chan had his house searched and several of his electronic devices of his confiscated. Ronson Chan is also the Chairman of the Hong Kong Journalist Association.
