Toronto Gets Hit By Historic Massive Winter Snowstorm
Snowplow seen as a massive snowstorm hit Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on January 17, 2022. The storm covered the city in snowfall amounts of between 30 to 45 centimetres (a months worth of snow falling in just one day), according to Environment Canada. In Toronto, the snow caused the closure of roads and schools across the city including two major highways. As much as 50-60 cm of snow fell in some regions Monday, prompting meteorologists to say that the storm was a once-in-a-decade kind of event, especially the scale of it.
