Valkenburg is a historic Dutch town in the province of Limburg with Geul river with the famous coffee places, bars, taverns and restaurants, a travel and tourism destination. The town was affected by the summer 2021 floods after the extreme weather, heavy rainfall and high water levels resulting evacuations.
