Beach Where The Battle Of Mullaitivu Took Place In Sri Lanka
Remains of a boat used by LTTE (Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam) that was destroyed during the Battle of Mullaitivu that took place in Mullaitivu, Sri Lanka. The Battle of Mullaitivu in the year 1996 and again in the year 2009 as well as the Mullivaikkal massacre were some of the fiercest fighting and most costly battles of the 26-year long civil war between the Sri Lankan Army and the LTTE. The Battle of Mullaitivu in the year 2009 was the last battle of the war. (Photo by Creative Touch Imaging Ltd./NurPhoto)
