Storm Eunice Hits The Netherlands

Storm Eunice hit the Netherlands after storm Dudley with wind gust speed exceeding 120km/h, creating damages in buildings, cars and killing people from trees falling. The government issued a red warning and 112 alarm emergency notifications on the phones before the storm hit the Dutch shore. The Oosterscheldekering - Eastern Scheldt storm surge barrier between the islands Schouwen-Duiveland and Noord-Beveland, is the largest of the Delta Works, a series of dams and storm surge barriers, designed to protect the Netherlands from flooding from the North Sea. The area has also many wind turbines, producing sustainable environmentally friendly green energy. Zeeland, the Netherlands on February 18, 2022 (Photo by Nicolas Economou/NurPhoto)
