Top Militant Commander Killed In Kashmir Gunbattle
PULWOM- INDIAN CONTROLLED KASHMIR-INDIA -SEPTEMBER 13: Kashmiri Muslims carry the body of Irshad Ahmad Ganie, a militant commander who was killed in a gun battle between Indian government forces and him, during his funeral on, September 13, 2015 iin Pulwom, 35 km (21 miles) south of Srinagar, the summer capital of Indian controlled Kashmir, Indian. Ganie, a local militant commander of, Lashkar-e-Taiba (Army of the Righteous), one of the largest and most active militant organization operating in Indian controlled Kashmir, was killed yesterday in a brief gun battle with Indian government forces in Pulwom area of south Kashmir. Irshad a wanted commander carried a bounty of $15097 (one million Indian National Rupees) and was involved in number of attacks including the Srinagar highway attack in which 11 Indian army soldiers were killed, police said.
