Protest Climate Activists
Climate activists gathered outside the CERAweek Oil and Gas Energy conference in Houston, Texas on Monday afternoon, March 7th, 2022.to protest the Oil industry's lack of effort to address the climate crisis. Speakers at the event include Sen. Joe Manchin and former Secretary of State John Kerry who now acts as the United States special presidential envoy for climate. One protestor wore a large papier mache John Kerry mask and others around him held signs asking if he was truly on the side of climate action. The conference takes place at the Hilton Americas Hotel and lasts a full week in the heart of downtown Houston attracting the most influential oil industry executives from around the world, on March 7th, 2022.
