The Common Silverline ( Spindasis vulcanus) is a small-sized, colourful butterfly. Butterflies fall prey to a number of predators, so they are adept most important defence mechanism in swiftness and speed. The butterfly employs a 'false head' as a decoy near the base of the hindwing in order to fool the predator's judgment on their attack strategies.
