Rally for Ukraine at the Lincoln Memorial
Giga, an American originally from Georgia, wears face paint in Ukraine's colors at a rally marking the one-month anniversary of Russia’s war. Hundreds of people attended the event at the Lincoln Memorial to support the Ukrainian people in their fight for independence. The rally featured remarks by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy (via video), Ukraine’s Ambassador to the US Oksana Markarova, and former US Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch. Protesters continued their demands for a no-fly zone over Ukraine and expulsion of all Russian banks from the SWIFT system. (Photo by Allison Bailey/NurPhoto)
