Animal India
The praying mantis (Mantis religiosa) are carnivores known for their prominent front legs position of prayer. They can turn their heads 180 degrees to scan, typically green or brown and well camouflaged on the plants among which they live and use their front legs to snare their prey with quick reflexes. A praying mantis is hiding on the Catharanthus roseus (Madagascar periwinkle) flower plant at Tehatta, West Bengal, India on 31/03/2022. (Photo by Soumyabrata Roy/NurPhoto)
