Arequipa Begins Holy Week Celebrations With A Holy Monday Procession
General PNP Víctor Zanabria, the head of the Covid Command, during the Holy Monday procession in Arequipa. After two years of absence of processions through the streets of the so-called 'Rome of Peru' due to the Covid-19 pandemic and its variants, from this Holy Monday all religious activity returns to the Historic Center of Arequipa, with the passage of the sacred image of Christ of Mercy, and in compliance with Covid-19 rules and protocols.
