Ukrainian Internal Refugees Celebrate Holy Saturday
Ukrainian domestic refugee women from Kharkiv Oblast pose with their Easter food baskets in a shelter provided by the Greek Catholic church in Nadyby, Lviv Oblast, Ukraine on Orthodox Easter Holy Saturday, April 23, 2022. As the Russian Federation invaded Ukraine nearly two months ago, the conflict forced more than 10 million Ukrainians to flee the war zones, both internally and externally. Relatively safe Lviv Oblast hosts many of the internal refugees. Nadyby village and its Greek Catholic church became a shelter for dozens of refugees from Kharkiv, Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia Oblast. The families found shelter in the Center for the Pastoral Care of Priests and Monks in Nadyby. (Photo by Dominika Zarzycka/NurPhoto)
