Women Demonstrate Against Feminicides In Mexico
This Sunday, various feminist collectives demonstrated in Mexico City to demand justice and punishment for the recent femicide of Debanhi Escobar Bazaldúa, 18, a native of the State of Nuevo León, Mexico. In a recent report, the UN Committee on Enforced Disappearances described disappearances in Mexico as an alarming phenomenon and called on the government to take action. The Committee singles out federal, state and municipal authorities, as well as organised crime, as the main perpetrators of these crimes. (Photo by Gerardo Vieyra/NurPhoto)
