Tannery Industry In Bangladesh
Oct 01, 2015 - Dhaka, Bangladesh - Workers are busy to process cattle skin in Tannery. It’s been a week since Eid-Ul-Adha(Biggest religious festival of Muslims) celebrated. Sacrificing livestocks (cow, goat. sheep, and camel) is the core ritual of this festival. According to the Bangladesh Tanners' Association (BTA), about 3500,000 cows and 5000,000 (fifty hundred thousand) goats and sheep sacrificed this year and which involve a total trading about Tk 105 billion for cow and around Tk 8.25 billion for goat. All skins of these animals come to Hajaribag Tannery Industrial area where more than 3000 factory exist.
