Langtang Lirung Mountain In The Himalayas

Langtang Lirung peak as seen from Langtang village, part of the Langtang Himal mountain in Nepal with the highest point at the elevation of 7234m or 23734 ft. Langtang Lirung is the 99th tallest mountain in the world and the summit was reached for the first time in 1978. On April 25, 2015, a massive 7.8 magnitude earthquake resulted in an avalanche and landslide in Langtang village directly killing 243 and vanishing the village. Langtang National Park is a popular trekking and travel destination for foreign trekkers and locals, people living in the village are Tamang Tibetan with origin from Tibet.
