Total Lunar Eclipse As Seen From Italy

A view of a lunar eclipse in Rieti, Italy, on May 16, 2022. The total eclipse is perfectly visible to the naked eye, even without the aid of binoculars or a telescope. Our satellite is at the shortest distance from Earth (perigee), a condition popularly referred to as the 'supermoon'. 2022 will also offer us a second eclipse, on 8 November, but the latter will be completely invisible from Italy.
