Indian Pied Myna
The Indian pied myna (Gracupica contra) is a species of starling that is slightly shy of the common myna and avoids coming close to humans, found in the Indian subcontinent. Male and female are similar in plumage but young birds have dark brown in place of black. Both parents feed the chicks until they fledge. This bird made their nests in a loose mass of straw formed on a large tree. This photo was taken at Tehatta, West Bengal; India on 01/06/2022. (Photo by Soumyabrata Roy/NurPhoto)
