Fair Of Artisanal And Sustainable Products In Iztapalapa, Mexico City

A senior citizen dances danzón during the inauguration of the Fair of Artisanal and Sustainable Products in the esplanade of the Macroplaza Cuitláhuac in Iztapalapa, Mexico City, where more than 40 exhibitors and producers from the interior of the Mexican Republic, who are part of the federal programmes Sembrando Vida and Conservación de Áreas Naturales, are participating. The purpose of this fair is to bring their environmentally friendly production methods to Mexico City, with the added value that the consumption of the whole variety of artisanal foods and derivatives strengthens the economy of the regions and farming communities, which preserve ancestral techniques without using pesticides or chemical fertilisers.
