3rd Heatwave Of The Year In France
The sun above the Garonne river. Due to a 'heat plume' coming from North Africa and to an anticyclone, France is breaking heat records especially in the south. France is 6 to 12°C above normal temperatures for July. This heatwave leads to a red alert for air pollution. Several heat records will be broken until the end of this heatwave. MeteoFrance says that on monday, temperatures could reach in SW of France, anywhere between 39°C and 44°C. For now, it looks like July 2022 will be the hottest July on record in France since 1850. In Toulouse, temperature reaches 38°C. SW of France and Toulouse are enduring another round of scorching heat. It's the 3nd heatwave in France in 2022, one in the spring in May, and 2 during this summer (to date). This one is particuliar as it's more precocious, more severe and longer than usual. Toulouse.
