Environmental Activists Protest Demand Single-Use Plastic Reduction

Activists take part in a rally pushing for rejecting single-use plastic products in Jakarta, Indonesia on July 24, 2022. During the parade, the participants voice a three-point demand. First, they urge the government to ban single-use plastic products nationwide; second, they ask the government to improve the garbage management system; and third, they will urge producers and business agents to take responsibility for plastic trash arising out of their products. Plastic waste has, for decades, become a major problem in Indonesia amid the government's serious endeavors to deal with the menace by highlighting its detrimental impacts on the country's environmental sustainability.
