Daily Life In Toronto
Lillian Massey Building for Household Sciences building in downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on July 20, 2022. The construction on the Household Sciences building began in 1908, and it required five years to complete. The building was used by the University of Toronto to offer a four-year degree program in household science to educate women to manage their homes scientifically. When it opened in 1913, it was a spectacular structure, its interior trimmed with marble and oak. In 2007, the building was finally renovated by the University of Toronto. It presently houses the Department of Classics and the Centre for Medieval Studies. (Photo by Creative Touch Imaging Ltd./NurPhoto)
