Visitors In Acropolis Of Athens

The Acropolis of Athens is an ancient citadel located on a rocky outcrop above the city of Athens and contains the remains of several ancient buildings of great architectural and historical significance, the most famous being the Parthenon attracting millions of tourists and visitors every year. It was built in 432BC by the architects Iktinos and Calicrates with famous sculptures from Phidias inside. Acropolis is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Greece is facing an increased wave of tourist arrivals in pre pandemic levels, as of summer 2022 the numbers are exceeding the era before the COVID-19 Coronavirus travel restriction measures.
